El Impenetrable
National Park

One of Northern Argentina's best-kept secrets

Created on October 22, 2014, it protects 128,000 hectares of Chaco forest, one of the most valuable and least altered ecosystems in the country.

Its name is no coincidence: the dense vegetation, thorny shrubs, and challenging paths gave identity to this unique region, where nature sets the pace.

Located in the General Güemes department, between Miraflores, Nueva Pompeya, El Sauzalito, and El Espinillo, the park shelters a vast biodiversity corridor between the Bermejo and Bermejito rivers.

A wildlife refuge

El Impenetrable is home to the jaguar, tapir, peccary, giant armadillo, puma and anteater, among others.

Exploring El Impenetrable is an experience that deserves time.

Ideally, you should dedicate several days to exploring its different access points, venturing into the mountains, and navigating its rivers.

It’s not just a nature trip: it’s also an encounter with the local culture, its people and ways of living in community.

Portal La Armonía

Located 60 km from Miraflores, on the Bermejito River, is the main access to the Park.

It is the only land entrance and the point where the largest supply of services is concentrated so far.
